From today on the ErP guideline 2009/125/EG becomes effective. Therewith the minimum efficiencies for electric operated products within the European Economic Area (EEA) are prescribed.
This means for PRG that it's forbidden to market IE1 motors within the EEA and it's prescribed to use IE2 motors.
In the first instance the regulation concerns 2-, 4- and 6-pole motors from 0,75 kW up to 375 kW and later on (beginning of 2017) the motors have to observe the IE3 standard.
Explosion proof motors are not affected by the regulation !
