High-speed mixers: the multitask specialists !

PRG-Specialties are direct driven agitators with speed ranges from 500 to 3000 rpm. When top entry installation is necessary the special hollow shaft motor allows extremely long free flying drive shafts. Side mounted speed mixers are equipped with special rotor shafts to assure vibration free operation.These rotor-shaft mixers are also suitable for bottom installation. High-speed mixers are mainly used for liquids of medium and low viscosities. They provide high pumping rates and, if required, high shear-rates. Depending on requirements high-speed mixers can be combined with slow running agitators to complex mixing plants. Motor speed can be varied by pole-switch or frequency control.

Applicable seals for high-speed mixers are lip-seals or liquid-and gas- lubricated mechanical seals.

Standard mixing elements for high-speed mixers are:

Propellers, dissolver-discs, dispros, 6-blade flat disc turbines, jet mixers with 3-blade turbine, butterflies and miscellaneous homogenizing tools(rotor/stator-prinziple).
